Today's post contains a few words about an innovative skype credit creator that rushes through black hat communities. It claims you can earn skype credits free of charge on your behalf. Thanks. We have always worked hard to solve Skype money problems. Skype prices for calling a landline phone are affordable, but average internet users will attempt to get everything at no cost, if not impossible. *If this (or another post in this thread) fixes your problem/issue, please mark it as solved, and I'll tag it, to make it easier for others to find the answer(s). The international block being removed may actually be contractual, I've never read up on this, but it's possible, that unless you specify a period or end-date, that a carrier simply re-enables this at the end of your cycle (maybe this side?). If the call still goes through, with the SIM disabled (or in airplane mode, as some suggested), you know for sure you're only using WiFi, and could go back and check your call records, say after placing a short call to another country, to test. The above SIM-disable test would tell you more, it would force the call to use WiFi, since it was the only available data source. I think that sometimes people think/believe that they've routed a call via Skype/GV/Viber/whatever, but accidentally end up dialing via regular interfaces (built-in phone app) What is more likely, is that the phone app was actually used, accidentally, instead of Skype, but the evidence above is "interesting". I'm not saying this is impossible, just highly improbable. Granted, there are hooks, for things like WiFi calling, but these are published interfaces, as part of the GSM specification. In general, these apps are built by phone/OS manufacturers, not by AT&T. Free skype credit no survey software#Go into your SIM settings, and turn the SIM(s) off, which will completely disable any cellular connection, through the SIM (similar to airplane mode).īTW, in order for AT&T to "hijack" a call like this, they would have to have engineered the phone apps, to have them "monitor" data usage and I guess you'd say "simul-call" when you're calling via ANY VOIP app (they don't all use the same protocols, so this is a pretty complex piece of software engineering). In each case, I had already requested a block for international calls on my lines which it was automatically removed without a warning. In past years I never had this problem with Verizon and since I switched to ATT about 2 years ago this happened 3 times. This is unbeliever and I do plan to switch to Varizon. I assume they found a way to mine calls and figure out if a user is using Skype and VOIP and re-rout them through ATT VOIP. It's interesting that I mentioned to the rep I believe this is not even technically possible however, she confirmed (again 3 times) that this is what ATT does. After talking with customer service today, the customer revive rep confirmed (3 times!) that if I use the third party apps (like Skype) to make international calls, ATT does charge me the ATT international rate regardless if I use Skype credit or not. Still, in my last bill I found ATT charged me our $3 per minutes for a call I made using Skype credit and Skype app. I've been using Skype credit to make international call and I did (actually twice) called ATT customer service and requested my international outbound calls to be blocked. Your mobile operator might charge you for data when you use the app over 3G or 4G." Free skype credit no survey for android#Yes, you can run Skype for Android and use all of its features over 3G, 4G, and WiFi. Indeed, what's the point of even using Skype if it's going to connect someone to AT&T's cellular voice network (at $3.50 a minute) when things go south with the connection? That would be a bit of false advertising if it is telling us it we can call Australia from its Skype-for-mobile app for 2.3 cents/minute? My husband and I have used Skype for years this way to call Australia. It's going over the Internet, not cellular voice. That's the whole point of using Skype rather than your cell phone! On the US side, you are also paying any marginal cost of data charges (data allowance), not US cellular voice charges. When you go from Skype to a landline, you pay 2.3 cents a minute to an Australian landline (with Skype credit as mentioned below) or 10 cents/min to Australian mobile, just so you can avoid AT&T charges of $3.50 a minute. Skype calls to landline and cellular lines are charged at Skype per-minute rates (paid for by Skype credits).
